The Christmas at the Bowl Trust regret to advise our audience and community that we have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel Christmas at the Bowl 2021.

A number of factors have contributed to this decision, the key being to protect the health and safety of our audience and performers. The new and emerging requirements around large-scale public events during the COVID-19 pandemic make the delivery of this year’s concert extremely challenging.

We would like to thank our family of sponsors who have been supportive of our decision and are keen to help us put on an event in 2022 that will be bigger and better than ever.

We also wish to acknowledge the huge commitment of the organising committee and our performers who have already committed huge amounts of time to the 2021 event. Without your input, we would not be able to deliver or present the calibre of show that Christmas at the Bowl has become.

And finally, we thank the communities of Taranaki for their understanding and support of the event, previously and into the future.

We look forward to seeing everyone December 2022.

Christmas At The Bowl held its inaugural production in 1999.  Focussing on the spirit of Christmas and providing an event where families can enjoy an outing for only a gold coin donation has been the driving aim.  Each year the event showcases Taranaki talent along with special guests to over 10,000 people who attend. Sponsorship from Taranaki businesses is integral to ensuring that Christmas at the Bowl remains an iconic Taranaki family Christmas event.

The Christmas At The Bowl Trust was formed in 2005 to facilitate the ongoing financial administration, with an Organising Committee who work with the Artistic Director to produce all aspects of the show.
