A CLEAN CHRISTMAS – This year Christmas At The Bowl is taking a lead and using a new approach to the waste that is haunting our community.  We would like you, as a Christmas At The Bowl attendee to assist us with our endeavour to have a clean and safe environment and reduce the rubbish that others have to collect after you have left the venue.

Christmas At The Bowl has not provided recycling bins at the venue because all containers that have food in them must be washed before adding to recycling. We do not have that facility in the venue but you do at home – so we are asking you to take all your rubbish home and recycle where possible. Remember reuse is the best form of recycling and waste minimisation.

Here are some guidelines to assist with this.
1. When bringing a picnic please bring in reusable containers and take home with your waste and then reuse.
2. If purchasing food to bring take the containers home, clean them and put in your recycling bins. We recommend you purchase from suppliers who use recyclable containers.
3. When purchasing from our onsite food stall operators, if possible please take the containers home, wash and then recycle in your bins.

Christmas At The Bowl will provide a limited number of bins for general waste and recycling bins.

5.00pm

Gates officially open.

Bring your picnic, your blanket and your low sand chairs – keep in mind this is a family event so no smoking or vaping, no private fireworks, no pets and please be courteous to those around you so that everyone can see the stage.  We reserve the right to remove any individual from the venue who is displaying inappropriate behaviour during this family event.

A number of food trucks within the venue will operate throughout the event – these include: Coxy’s Caravan, Opunake Dairy, Candy Floss Boss, Tinklebell, Cafe Turkey, Texas BBQ Foods, Westcoast Fish Company, Churros El Market, Sumela Kebab, Icy Unicorn, RnB Donut Sensation, Liquid Beanz, The Grilled Cheese Kitchen, Kingpin Espresso, Kat’s Gelato & Sorbet Ice Cream Van, and Waitara Scout Group.
